NICCA USA ATTENDS TECHTEXTIL CONFERENCE

Members of NICCA USA attended the 9th annual TechTextil show for technical textiles at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia on April 24th-26th. Many companies throughout the supply chain of textile production were in attendance. The event was a great way to network in the industry and get a better idea of the overall market. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the conference and look forward to attending next year.

NICCA USA HOLDS ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

NICCA USA held its annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, April 5th 2012. The meeting was held at the NICCA USA corporate office in Fountain Inn, SC and was attended by shareholders from Japan and the United States. NICCA group president, Mr. Yasumasa Emori was also in attendance. Business talks were held after the meeting followed by a shareholders dinner that evening.

CLEMSON UNIVERSITY VISITS NICCA USA, FOUNTAIN INN PLANT

A delegation comprised of Clemson University Japanese language and exchange students, led by Professor Yuji Kishimoto, were welcomed at NICCA USA’s Fountain Inn Plant on Thursday March 1st. The group received a presentation on the history of our company. They were given a tour of the facility by NICCA chemists and engineers. NICCA has a long relationship with Clemson University that includes cultural and R&D exchange.

NICCA USA is proud to announce that it has developed a higher concentrated UV Absorber called Sunlife LPS 920. This new product shows outstanding resistance to sublimation. LPS 920 significantly improves light fastness of disperse dyed polyester fabrics and yarns. This product boasts many attributes that make it an industry leader for UV absorbers. For example, LPS 920 has smaller particles therefore making it is suitable for piece dyeing, as well as package dyeing. LPS 920 is stable, even at very high temperatures and will not generate thermal migration problems. This UV absorber is of particular interest to the automotive industry because it does not cause fogging complications. NICCA USA believes this product has no limits and can be used in several industries.

This robust, innovative scavenger can be used in many applications, especially in the automotive industry. From headliners inside cars to the inner material of car seats, this versatile product has proved effective in removing aldehydes and other volatile organic compounds. This quick acting agent can be sprayed on, padded, or applied with a foam coating. It will be available in 10, 5 and 2.5 percent solids. Nicca USA Welcomes New President

NICCA USA welcomed a new president today. Atsutaka “Atsu” Kobayashi will take over as president of NICCA USA in January. He has been transferred to head North American operations from NICCA headquarters in Fukui, Japan. Mr. Kobayashi, a native of Fukui Japan, has been General Manager of NICCA Global Automotive Products Division for the past several years. With his strong marketing background, Mr. Kobayashi plans to expand into new markets throughout North America and beyond.
